My Uncle\u00a0picked\u00a0these up\u00a0somewhere in Los Angeles.\u00a0 He’s currently visiting from Denmark.\u00a0 As previously reported on Nibbles of Tidbits, he opened up the First Mexican Restaurant in Denmark, and just\u00a0added three more franchises this year.\u00a0 He’s in California to see family and suppliers.\u00a0 These Tamales are from one of his suppliers.\u00a0 Thanks.<\/p>\n

They’re\u00a0Pork, Chicken, and Sweet (De Dulce) Tamales in the photograph above\u00a0(respectively bottom up).\u00a0 All were very good, but the Pork was the best, as you may guess from looking at the picture.\u00a0 I steamed\u00a0all in a pot for about 8 minutes and carefully turned\u00a0them once.\u00a0 It was fun to\u00a0have the variety, and the sweet went well with the savory —\u00a0It didn’t need to be eaten as a lone dessert.<\/p>\n
