We finally got into Rao’s<\/strong><\/a>!\u00a0 Obviously not Rao’s<\/a>\u00a0original Harlem location, since the wait is\u00a0two years to never to get in, and California is a bit too far for a\u00a0New York dinner reservation.\u00a0 However, during our recent trip to Las Vegas we\u00a0had\u00a0lunch at Rao’s\u00a0Caesars Palace<\/a>.\u00a0 We\u00a0already booked dinner reservations<\/a> elsewhere, but knew we\u00a0had to make time\u00a0and room for\u00a0Rao’s Meatballs<\/strong> too.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We have Rao’s Cookbook<\/a> and consider their Meatballs<\/a>\u00a0to be one of our favorite recipes.\u00a0 We’ve made them on a few occasions, thus had to try the actual Meatballs at the restaurant.\u00a0 They were equally amazing as expected and we are\u00a0so happy to have the recipe.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The pictured dining room is a replica of Rao’s original\u00a0location with\u00a0handfuls of tables.\u00a0 Fortunately Rao’s Caesars Palace built two identical dining rooms to\u00a0offer more\u00a0people the Rao’s experience, since most of us will never know\u00a0the magic of\u00a0Rao’s Harlem.<\/p>\n

Rao’s outdoor patio is just steps away from\u00a0Caesars Palace’s happening\u00a0swimming pools, where we polished off our stiff Cadillac Margaritas.\u00a0 We also had the pleasure of meeting Bubbles (pictured below), a special Host at Rao’s.\u00a0\u00a0We first saw him sitting at the end of the bar and knew he was a kool kat.\u00a0 For some reason\u00a0we\u00a0b-lined to him wanting to\u00a0know his story, and was\u00a0somehow\u00a0transported to New York during our interesting conversation.\u00a0 We initially didn’t know he\u00a0was\/is with Rao’s<\/a>\u00a0and now we’re excited to\u00a0send our\u00a0signed, framed photo (as instructed) to be\u00a0hung amongst\u00a0all the remarkable, nostalgic\u00a0photos\u00a0decorating their walls.\u00a0 We’re honored and delighted to be\u00a0a part of it.\u00a0 Thanks Rao’s and Bubbles. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

* The unrelated frog painting was approved as an entry into the OC Fair’s<\/a>\u00a0Fine Arts Category and was painted by my talented Niece Bailee\u00a0of Kids in the Kitchen<\/a>.\u00a0 The frog’s eyes match the colors in the Rao’s photograph and both were on\u00a0the table —\u00a0Plus it looks cool and we always want to promote the fabulous Fair, as\u00a0seen by Chef Lexi’s entry here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
