and &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/category\/the-funny\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Funny<\/a>&#8216; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">about this blog<\/a>.\u00a0 The\u00a0<strong>Tangerine Dream Bars<\/strong> (wannabe) was going to be an entry in the <strong>Culinary Arts Competition<\/strong> at the Orange County Fair, but\u00a0it didn&#8217;t happen.\u00a0 I was gonna\u00a0cover the\u00a0top with Powdered Sugar, but unfortunately there&#8217;s no masking the soupy, unset\u00a0middle. \ud83d\ude41 I&#8217;m not exactly sure what went wrong here, since it turned out good <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/2010\/05\/18\/oc-fair-culinary-entries-are-due-by-may-26-2010-enter-before-then\/\" target=\"_blank\">last time<\/a>.\u00a0 Wouldn&#8217;t you know it &#8212;\u00a0Two hours before submission time I discovered\u00a0it looked like this.\u00a0 Oh well, good thing my other entry was\u00a0delicious\u00a0and\u00a0successfully submitted.\u00a0 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ocfair.com\/2010\/\" target=\"_blank\">Orange County Fair<\/a> starts this Friday, July 16th.\u00a0 The results will be posted opening day.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Pics1-006.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-15679\" title=\"Layered Chocolate Surprise\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Pics1-006-449x337.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"449\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Pics1-006-449x337.jpg 449w, http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Pics1-006-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 449px) 100vw, 449px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Fair-Entries-Kiwi-013.jpg\"><\/a>Our only entry in the Culinary Arts Competition (1st Show) is the\u00a0<strong>Chocolate Layered Surprise<\/strong>.\u00a0 It&#8217;s formed with alternating layers of Milk Chocolate, Waffle Cone, Dried Cherries and Pecans,\u00a0then\u00a0cut in squares and drizzled with White Chocolate.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll be submitting (2) additional entries in August for the 2nd Show.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/Pics1-011.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-15680\" title=\"Official Fair Entry &amp;
