‘Pick out all the Candy you want’ is what I said to my Chef Nieces, Baliee and Lexi from Kids in the Kitchen<\/a> — It would’ve been a dream come true for me as a kid.\u00a0\u00a0I still love Candy and Cost Plus World Market<\/a>\u00a0has the best selection, if you don’t know that already!?<\/p>\n

Come with me and you’ll be in a world of Pure Imagination<\/strong> —\u00a0<\/strong>A song superbly sang by Gene Wilder in\u00a0one of the most magical movie clips ever<\/a>\u00a0and appropriate to this post.\u00a0 Cost Plus could be\u00a0a modern day\u00a0Willy Wonka.\u00a0\u00a0Today it was.<\/p>\n

I think I would have picked out way more Candy than they did, hahaha, but we did end up with\u00a0a good cross-section of nostalgic, imported, mainstream, unique and extreme Candy, which was fun to try — On a rowdy\u00a0sugar high we dumped the tub of Old Time Favorites<\/strong> over Chef Lexi’s head.\u00a0 It’s raining Candy. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We had a great time trying the Violet\u00a0Mints, Candy Buttons, Mango Gummy Candy, Ginger\u00a0Candy Chews and various small imported Chocolate Bars.\u00a0 And we enjoyed\u00a0having\u00a0a couple\u00a0nostalgic favorites, like\u00a0Chick-O-Sticks and Bit-O-Honey.\u00a0 The Toxic Waste Candy<\/strong> pictured below was ridiculously strong.\u00a0\u00a0They do call it ‘hazardously sour Candy’ and you can tell by the post-sampling expressions.<\/p>\n

We haven’t yet tried the Bean Boozled<\/a> by Jelly Belly.\u00a0 We’re afraid and may need to host a Jelly Belly Fear Factor Game <\/strong>later —\u00a0Stay tuned for that when\u00a0we find a couple\u00a0brave volunteers.\u00a0 So far all asked say no way Jos\u00e9.<\/p>\n
