Our walk on this warm\u00a0afternoon in January started at Borders Books on Newport Boulevard with a Latte and\u00a0Thumbprint Raspberry Scone — Then it was on to 17th Street “Promenade” and back.\u00a0 We’ll show a few\u00a0places to eat along the way.<\/p>\n

From left to right, top to bottom,\u00a0here’s a few\u00a0edible options along the way — Starting with Border’s Books Pastry Case, The Yard House<\/a>, BC Broiler Chicken, Dippity Donut, El Matador<\/a>, Roman Cucina<\/a>, Kura Sushi Revolving Sushi Bar, Mother’s Market & Kitchen, Panera Bread, Garduro’s Ristorante Italiano<\/a>, Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant & Bar<\/a>, and Pierce Street Annex Music-Dancing-Grill.<\/p>\n

Then\u00a0trekking on with an Iced Raspberry Chai from Starbucks — YUM, btw.\u00a0\u00a0It’s got a good punch of flavor.\u00a0 I had a coupon to try one for free, and of course we passed a couple Starbucks along the way.\u00a0<\/p>\n

We’ll try a beverage from Buon Giorno Coffee next time.\u00a0\u00a0It was then on\u00a0to Ruby’s Diner, Haute Cakes Caffe<\/a>, Susie Cakes, and Promelis Westcliff Market<\/a>, a must stop for local grocery shoppers.\u00a0<\/p>\n

And\u00a0La Cave<\/a>, a very cool dark underground restaurant, The Beach Pit BBQ and Marie Calendar’s.\u00a0 As noted, these are only a few.\u00a0 There’s a lot more eateries in between that’ll be\u00a0featured\u00a0in\u00a0future posts.<\/p>\n
