In this instance, I wasn’t quite\u00a0sure about trying\u00a0Blue Diamond’s <\/strong>Almond Breeze<\/strong><\/a>, a Non-Dairy Beverage made from real Almonds — I’m a hard core Milk drinker and the thought of Almond Breeze as a drink scared me.\u00a0 I thought\u00a0it would taste too\u00a0sweet, but it’s not.<\/p>\n

This product arrived timely in that I’d been wanting\u00a0homemade Hot Chocolate and\u00a0Almond Breeze<\/a> came with an Almond Hot Chocolate recipe<\/a>.\u00a0 The stars aligned.\u00a0 In addition, I love nuts (all kinds) and have purchased many Blue Diamond<\/a> products over the years.\u00a0 Their quality has been\u00a0consistent.<\/p>\n

I prepared the Almond Hot Chocolate<\/strong> by\u00a0pouring\u00a0hot (microwaved) Almond Breeze over Milk Chocolate Chips and powdered Cocoa (approx. 2 cups Almond Breeze, 6oz. Chocolate and 1 tsp. Cocoa) — Their official recipe\u00a0is linked here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Pour\u00a0the hot\u00a0Almond Breeze (or Milk) over\u00a0the Chocolate Chips and Cocoa.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prepare in individual cups with desired amount of Chocolate or in bulk\u00a0to fill\u00a0many cups.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Stir until Chocolate Chips are melted and Cocoa is blended.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I thoroughly enjoyed my first Almond Hot Chocolate<\/strong> in a cup from my Great Grandma Moore.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The combination of ingredients makes a rich, luxurious Hot Chocolate and\u00a0the hint of Almond puts it over the top — It adds a nice, toasted flavor.\u00a0 Cheers to all my loving Grandmas!<\/p>\n

Almond Breeze makes an excellent Hot Chocolate.\u00a0 The taste of it alone was surprisingly good, as\u00a0it’s not sweet —\u00a0I actually liked it.<\/p>\n

It’s noted that Almond Breeze can be substituted, cup for cup in many recipes, which sounds exciting, but it appears it’s not true when it comes to the basic Minute Tapioca recipe.\u00a0\u00a0Its preparation with Almond Breeze didn’t work, as it never firmed up properly and remained too runny.\u00a0 The Almond garnish\u00a0sank — Bummer!\u00a0 It tasted good warm and\u00a0perhaps cold it could be\u00a0served as a\u00a0boba\u00a0drink, not.<\/p>\n
