We had such a great time at the OC Fair New Year’s Eve Block Party<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 There was\u00a0much to do, see and eat and the VIP Lounge started it off just right.\u00a0 The set up was cozy and warm with several couches and heat lamps arranged throughout.\u00a0 I’d go back next year for the same.\u00a0 They did a great job — It was relaxed, manageable, stimulating,\u00a0hospitable and filling<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Certain\u00a0Food Truck Appetizers were served in the VIP Lounge during the first hour — From The Greasy Weiner<\/a>\u00a0we had the above which was good, but we really wanted the Bacon Wrapped Hot Dog that seemed to elude us.\u00a0 We didn’t get the few that were served during the limited time.\u00a0 Bummer.\u00a0 Oh well, on to other food.<\/p>\n

Our favorites offered in the VIP Lounge were the “Gumbolaya” and Chicken & Sausage Gumbo served by Ragin Cajun Cafe on Wheels<\/a>.\u00a0 Their servings were generous, spicy\u00a0and\u00a0tasty.<\/p>\n

Piaggio Gourmet on Wheels<\/a>\u00a0was serving Empanadas.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Adult Chocolate Milk and Monster Energy Drinks were a couple of the sponsors.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Moo Girls were handing out\u00a0Adult Chocolate Milk<\/a> and Chocolates flavored the same — It tastes like a White Russian, which I like.\u00a0 And the girls were really sweet too.\u00a0 Can you tell which one is me? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

The guy being interviewed below is\u00a0a Blasphemous Rumours<\/a>\u00a0band member\/singer for the Depeche Mode tribute band scheduled to play later\u00a0on the 80’s stage.\u00a0 Their couch happened to be\u00a0next to mine.<\/p>\n

I think the objective is to\u00a0bash into each other until\u00a0you can’t start your car anymore.<\/p>\n

It was a little hard to tell what was going on officially<\/em>, but it looked cool.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There were several trophies being handed out and one big winner (below right), I think.<\/p>\n

And Karaoke at Baja Blues — This guy wasn’t too bad.<\/p>\n

Peeking in on Crepes Bonaparte<\/a>, who had the longest line we saw this night.<\/p>\n

And below is the Rajin Cajun Cafe on Wheels, who also participated in\u00a0The Great Food Truck Race<\/a> on the Food Network.\u00a0 They were eliminated in week two.<\/p>\n

We liked The Flip Truck<\/a> menu and meant to mosey on back to try ’em, but forgot.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Perhaps another time for The Flip Truck — Pondering.<\/p>\n

Jumping Jack Flash, The Rolling Stones tribute band playing on the 60’s stage — They interestingly had the\u00a0largest crowd approaching midnight.\u00a0 I loved their look!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Also in the VIP Lounge was\u00a0a complimentary Photo Booth to take as many photos as you like.\u00a0 What fun!\u00a0\u00a0I took the one below with a couple cool new friends.\u00a0 Thank you\u00a0and Happy New Year —\u00a0So many nice people out this 2010\/2011 evening.<\/p>\n
