Rock Salt and Ice are no longer needed to make homemade Ice Cream.\u00a0 I’ve been wanting a new Ice Cream Maker<\/a> for years, but really didn’t need one since my old fashioned one is still trucking along.\u00a0 That’s great, but the pictured Ice Cream Maker was on sale for a price I couldn’t pass up.\u00a0 I feel a little guilty about it, since it’s nicer than the one I bought\u00a0my Nieces<\/a> last year for Christmas, though roughly the same price.\u00a0\u00a0Hopefully they skip this post. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Homemade Lychee Ice Cream<\/strong> — I found a\u00a0simple recipe online that was\u00a0varied\u00a0slightly to make the pictured Lychee Ice Cream.\u00a0 It can (and should) be made in any Ice Cream Maker, because it’s fabulous and couldn’t be easier.\u00a0 I lightened\u00a0the recipe\u00a0with Milk and less Cream.<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/strong>\u00a0 (1) 20 ounce Can of Lychees, 1 3\/4 Cups of Whole Milk, 1\/4 Cup of Heavy Cream, 1\/4 Cup of Sugar and the Juice and Zest of (1) Lime —\u00a0All with\u00a0an Ice Cream Maker.<\/p>\n

Directions:<\/strong>\u00a0 Reserve the Lychee Syrup and puree the Lychee Fruit, then combine\u00a0both with the remaining\u00a0ingredients listed above.\u00a0\u00a0Place ALL in an\u00a0Ice Cream Maker\u00a0and churn for 30 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0That’s how long it took\u00a0in this Cuisinart<\/a>.\u00a0 Pictured is the first\u00a0batch made in it — A success.\u00a0 The consistency and flavor couldn’t have been better.\u00a0 The photos don’t do it justice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
