\"\"<\/a>Would you believe\u00a0I just\u00a0learned what a Blondie<\/strong> is?\u00a0 It’s like a Brownie without Chocolate.\u00a0 Did you know that?\u00a0 Since I’m one of the few people in the world who doesn’t care for Brownies, this year I chose to make Blondies for the Culinary Arts Competition<\/a> at the Orange County Fair<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0Having never made (or ate) one before submission time<\/a>, I practiced by\u00a0varying three different recipes to ultimately create the award winning Blondies<\/a> pictured here.\u00a0 And it’s a good thing I did, since the first few batches didn’t turn out well at all — Then at last I was\u00a0happy with the ingredient combination, taste and texture.\u00a0 Following\u00a0is the final\u00a0BLONDIES RECIPE<\/strong><\/span>.\u00a0\u00a0It’s a\u00a0winner, literally.\ufeff<\/p>\n

1 Cup\u00a0of Flour<\/p>\n

1 Teaspoon of Baking Powder<\/p>\n

1\/2 Cup of\u00a0Butter (1 Stick)<\/p>\n

1\/2 Cup of firmly packed Light Brown Sugar<\/p>\n

1\/2 Cup of firmly packed\u00a0Dark Brown Sugar<\/p>\n

1 Large Egg<\/p>\n

1 Teaspoon of\u00a0Vanilla Extract<\/p>\n

1\/2 Cup of chopped Pecans<\/p>\n

1\/4 Cup of Milk Chocolate Chunks (Chocolate Bar rustically cut)<\/p>\n

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.\u00a0 Combine the Flour and\u00a0Baking Powder\u00a0in a small\u00a0bowl.\u00a0 In a separate bowl, melt\u00a0Butter\u00a0and\u00a0stir in the Light and Dark Brown Sugar until\u00a0well blended, then whisk in the Egg and Vanilla. \u00a0Add\u00a0the Flour mixture until\u00a0all is incorporated,\u00a0then stir in the Pecans and Milk Chocolate Chunks.\u00a0 Pour batter into a 8 X 8\u00a0baking dish and bake until the Blondies\u00a0are\u00a0set in the center, about 25 – 30 minutes.
