Pescadou Bistro<\/a><\/strong> gladly discovered during\u00a0Newport Beach Restaurant Week<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Must have passed it a hundred times on Newport Boulevard and finally dined in.\u00a0 It was a Wednesday when there is no corkage fee<\/strong>.\u00a0 We didn’t know it until we saw patron after patron walk in with\u00a0a bottle of Wine.\u00a0 Next time I’m bringin’ a bottle too (most did), and\u00a0won’t feel stupid — Always thought it awkward, but\u00a0it’s smart\u00a0when\u00a0no corkage.\u00a0\u00a0Who’s stupid now?<\/p>\n

Enlightened is the word — We ordered from the restaurant week\u00a0and regular menu, as\u00a0many French specialties sounded good, and previously reported about Pescadou Bistro’s Pat\u00e9<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Don’t have\u00a0exact\u00a0names<\/a> of the pictured here, but confidently state ALL was a pleasure.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A toast with\u00a0Wine on the tab, to\u00a0the Pat\u00e9<\/a>,\u00a0Salad with Wild Boar Salami and Gold Potato, Cream of Cauliflower Soup, Grilled Lamb Chops and “Gigot” Slow Roasted Leg of Lamb.\u00a0 Sant\u00e9!<\/p>\n

And to one of the best desserts I’ve ever had — It doesn’t look all that, especially in the\u00a0photo below, but DANG, it was taste-TEE and unfortunately not on their regular menu.\u00a0 It should be.<\/p>\n

Described as an Ice Cream Parfait with Candied Fruit and Red Raspberry Sauce,\u00a0it was\u00a0extraordinaire.\u00a0 I hope to have IT again.\u00a0 And\u00a0Foie Gras<\/strong>,\u00a0before the end of the year<\/a>\u00a0(preferably on a Wednesday) — It’s at Pescadou Bistro<\/a>, until it’s banned from being sold in California next year<\/a>.\u00a0 I’m not keen on\u00a0the politics of it and recommend the Bistro become a speakeasy for it.\u00a0 There’s\u00a0a lot more to say<\/a> and write about it, but\u00a0on a\u00a0different blog<\/a>.<\/p>\n
