Studying the Racing Form with\u00a0“fresh Smoked Albacore” from Catalina Fish Kitchen<\/a> — That’s how it was ordered and only how I want it<\/em>.\u00a0 When it’s fresh, it’s terrific, but\u00a0sometimes it’s not, so keep an eye out there\u00a0(and everywhere<\/a> it seems lately) for freshness.\u00a0\u00a0I’ve found Smoked Albacore to be\u00a0most consistently fresh at The Crab Cooker<\/a> and The Original Fish Company<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On to the\u00a0races at Santa Anita Park<\/a> — The horses are\u00a0running\u00a0LIVE for\u00a0one more week.\u00a0 Closing day\u00a0happens to be\u00a0Earth Day<\/a>.\u00a0 We almost missed ’em this year, but instead only missed the first race of this day.\u00a0 That’s okay, but for the $40 I would’ve won had I\u00a0got to place the bet I’d planned.\u00a0 It’s all good though and\u00a0an entertaining way to spend the day.<\/p>\n

All was so fun, I\u00a0semi-overlooked Ketchup on a Hot Dog. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Down the street from Santa Anita Park<\/a> is The Arboretum<\/a>\u00a0(Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden) —\u00a0We stopped by after the races, but they were closed.\u00a0 If what’s\u00a0inside is as interesting as what’s on the outside (and I know it is), I’m excited to go back with a lot of time.<\/p>\n
