Umami<\/strong>:\u00a0 A\u00a0taste sensation that is meaty or savory and is produced by several amino acids and nucleotides (as glutamate and aspartate) —\u00a0It’s the definition of Umami.\u00a0 Understand now?<\/p>\n

\"Umami<\/a><\/p>\n

How about this… Umami<\/strong> is a savory taste,\u00a0one of the five basic tastes (together with sweet, sour, bitter and salty).\u00a0 A loanword from the Japanese, Umami can be translated as “pleasant savory taste” — It’s basically a description, NOT specific ingredients.\u00a0 I didn’t know all this.<\/p>\n

And Beer Battered Onion Rings from Umami Burger’s Sides Menu.\u00a0\u00a0They were good, but I prefer thinner Onions.\u00a0 Theirs are thick with\u00a0too much Onion —\u00a0Not sure if they are always like that?!<\/p>\n

As for the famous Original Umami Burger<\/strong>, I regret to inform that we thought it was just okay.\u00a0 I’d\u00a0heard great things about it over the past couple years, but we didn’t find it\u00a0mind blowingly different.\u00a0 It’s quite rich actually.\u00a0 We like its ingredients… Shiitake Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions, Roasted Tomato, a Parmesan Crisp and Umami Ketchup, but idk —\u00a0It was pleasantly savory, but other Burgers have been even more pleasantly savory, if allowed.<\/p>\n

It’s not inexpensive, but\u00a0had to try it and\u00a0you may still\u00a0want to too.\u00a0\u00a0I’d\u00a0like to try Umami Burger’s Ahi Tuna Burger<\/strong>.\u00a0 It looks and sounds impressive, like many of Umami Burger’s other Burgers<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
