<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/?s=blue+apron\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Apron<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/?s=hello+fresh\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hello Fresh<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/?s=plated\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plated<\/a>.\u00a0 And now, here is <strong>Home Chef<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5955-e1512337166313.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52028\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5955-e1512337166313.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.homechef.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Chef<\/a> meal selection included <strong>Coconut Jasmine Rice Bowls with Fried Plantains and Corn Pico De Gallo<\/strong>, <strong>Fig and Goat Cheese Flatbread with Walnuts and Caramelized Onions<\/strong>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<strong>Brown Sugar Salmon with Ranch Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5980-e1512337244443.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52029\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5980-e1512337244443.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The recipe cards came with a nice white binder and they were 3-hole punched on good card-stock.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5957-e1512337328643.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52030\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5957-e1512337328643.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Each meal is grouped in its own sealed, handled bag with a straggler or two in the box, and the meat is under ice, which is convenient and good.\u00a0 All received with this shipment was fresh.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5996-e1512337503289.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52031\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_5996-e1512337503289.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, the <strong>Naan<\/strong> received for the <strong>Fig and Goat Cheese Flatbread<\/strong> was folded into its meal kit bag and thus cracked in a few places.\u00a0 I had to carefully place them back together before topping and baking them.\u00a0 They ended up tasting great, but it was mostly due to the Caramelized Onions, Fig Preserves, Goat Cheese and Arugula &#8212; An amazing combination.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_6007.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52032\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_6007-e1512337584633.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We liked the <strong>Brown Sugar Salmon<\/strong> too, though mine didn&#8217;t end up as gorgeous as the one on the recipe card.\u00a0 Not uncommon, but the sweet, tangy flavor it was anticipated to have was there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_6014-e1512337671886.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52033\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_6014-e1512337671886.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Home Chef&#8217;s price is comparable to Blue Apron&#8217;s &#8212; The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.homechef.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Chef<\/a> cost is $59.70 a week for (3) meal kits for (2) people\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">and<\/span> Blue Apron&#8217;s current cost for the same is $59.94.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_6018-e1512337765186.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-52034\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ineedtext.com\/FoodBlog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/IMG_6018-e1512337765186.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"540\" height=\"405\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.homechef.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Home Chef<\/a>, and we like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plated.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plated<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hellofresh.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hello Fresh<\/a> too, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueapron.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Apron<\/a> is still our favorite weekly meal delivery kit company.\u00a0 Aside from these meals and the others I&#8217;ve tried and reported about, Blue Apron meals have been prepared in our kitchen on a weekly basis for about two years now.\u00a0 I like Blue Apron&#8217;s unique meal options and that all is made from scratch.\u00a0 It&#8217;s extra time and labor in some cases, but worth it in flavor.\u00a0 I like Naan, but would have preferred fresh Pizza Dough with the winning combination of Caramelized Onions, Fig Preserves, Goat Cheese and Arugula.\u00a0 Pizza Dough would most likely come with a similar <a href=\"https:\/\/www.blueapron.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Apron<\/a> meal.\u00a0 I have no complaints about any of these companies and I am still willing to try others, if the menu is right.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Home Chef is another company that offers the delivery of weekly meal kits.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve previously reported about a few others &#8212;
