8 Steers Fish & Steakhouse Restaurant <\/strong>is located in Costa Mesa off busy Harbor Boulevard.\u00a0 Since I’m within walking distance from it a couple days a week, I’ve been trying a few Sides and Sandwiches for lunch.\u00a0 So far we’ve tried the Cajun Fish Sandwich<\/strong>, which comes with a choice of\u00a0Coleslaw, Chips\u00a0and something else (tba).\u00a0 The Fish on this Sandwich is Basa Fish.\u00a0 It’s a type of Catfish I’ve never tried before.\u00a0\u00a0It was a nice piece and the texture is similar, but I can tell I like Catfish better.\u00a0 And I didn’t care for the Bread it’s served on — It got soggy, but the Remoulade Sauce\u00a0made it all okay.<\/p>\n

The Brussels Sprouts <\/strong>Side\u00a0is a generous serving and pretty good.\u00a0\u00a0It’s different and seems to have Bacon and Horseradish or Wasabi in it.\u00a0 And I like their Coleslaw <\/strong>— It’s more Vinegary than Mayonnaisey.<\/p>\n

Pictured above middle is\u00a0Ginger and Scallion Mashed Potatoes<\/strong>, another uniquely flavored Side —\u00a0They’re good too.\u00a0 I really like 8 Steers’\u00a0menu and look forward to trying and reporting about more.<\/p>\n
