I like the blurry hustle\u00a0of the photo above.\u00a0 We almost tried everything at the 14th Annual Taste of Anaheim<\/a> <\/strong>and took\u00a0a few notes.\u00a0\u00a0This year it was held at The Shops at Anaheim GardenWalk<\/a>, an outdoor mall venue that\u00a0seems pretty nice — My friend was purse and clothes shopping in between\u00a0eating.\u00a0 We were able and happy to squeeze it all in. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Above from left to right working on down,\u00a0we had\u00a0Shrimp and Pineapple Soft Tacos from Tortilla Jo’s, Mahi Mahi from The Rainforest Caf\u00e9<\/span>,\u00a0Panini’s from I forgot where (sorry), Spinach and Artichoke Dip from Mimi’s Caf\u00e9 (<\/span>YUM),\u00a0Corn Chowder from Storytellers Caf\u00e9<\/span> (YUM too), and I forgot what exactly from Geisha House — Its\u00a0presentation was nice.<\/p>\n

Continuing above is Gumbo\u00a0being served from\u00a0Caf\u00e9 <\/span>Orleans (I think),\u00a0Creole Shrimp from Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen,\u00a0Sundried Tomato\u00a0Hummus on\u00a0Cucumber from Lazy Dog Caf\u00e9<\/span>, and Chopped Salad and Meatball Sandwiches from Oggi’s Pizza & Brewery —\u00a0The Meatballs were very good.<\/p>\n

We had\u00a0Chicken Tikka and Samosas from Chakra Indian Cuisine, and\u00a0as\u00a0previously reported and linked below,\u00a0the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Crab Cakes and taste-TEE\u00a0Sauce was a favorite, especially since they had an abundance of food, which\u00a0beats a\u00a0few.\u00a0 And I’m not sure who was serving the Cupcakes above, but they look pretty.\u00a0\u00a0I should have logged\u00a0that name for sure, but after a couple Glasses of Cabernet\u00a0some things just don’t matter, HA.<\/p>\n

One thing we did care about was\u00a0that a few restaurants ran out of food before the event was over.\u00a0 The Taste of Anaheim <\/strong>ran from 5:30 – 9:30 PM and a few restaurants were out of food at 8:30.\u00a0 To me, that’s not acceptable.\u00a0 I paid $35 expecting to eat something from Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion Cuisine and Mr. Stox Restaurant, but their spaces were hollowed\u00a0by the time\u00a0we got\u00a0to them.\u00a0 That was\u00a0disappointing and shouldn’t happen.\u00a0 Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse also ran out of food, but scurried to serve something,\u00a0Hamburgers.\u00a0\u00a0Although it wasn’t\u00a0what we hoped for, we give them points for trying.<\/p>\n
