OMGosh, I’ve missed the LBC.\u00a0 I lived in Belmont Shore and Belmont Heights in Long Beach for several years before relocating to Huntington Beach, then Costa Mesa.\u00a0 I have a lot of great food and fun memories there.\u00a0 It’s a cool city with vast food finds.\u00a0 We skated the Long Beach Bike Path beginning to end, from Ocean\/54th Place\u00a0to Shoreline Village<\/strong>, like I have hundreds of times before — It’s\u00a0nicely paved\u00a0for skating.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

We had Shrimp, Chicken and Beef Fajitas, Side Salads, Chips & Salsa, Coronas and Margaritas on the Tequila Jack’s<\/strong> patio in Shoreline Village, which\u00a0offers a few\u00a0good restaurants to choose from.\u00a0 This visit we\u00a0attempted to eat at The Yard House<\/strong>,\u00a0next door to Tequila Jack’s — BUT\u00a0instead had an incident<\/em>.\u00a0 Since we skated, two were in socks and one in shoes.\u00a0 Nevertheless we received an electronic transponder after reserving a table at The Yard House.<\/p>\n

We secured\u00a03 chairs at the bar to\u00a0wait for a table to be available,\u00a0then the YH Manager came over to tell us he couldn’t serve us due to the socks and we had to leave<\/em>.\u00a0 Real cool huh!?\u00a0 I know there are rules, but was it\u00a0necessary that we\u00a0essentially be kicked out?\u00a0 We weren’t\u00a0walking around, we were going to be sitting outside, and\u00a0looked and acted respectable otherwise.\u00a0 He wouldn’t even allow us to wait outside until our patio table was ready.<\/p>\n

I think the Manager’s\u00a0non-flexibility\u00a0was\u00a0ridiculous — Our socks were gorgeous and\u00a0would ultimately be under the table.\u00a0 His fear of litigation and lack of\u00a0case by case discretion lost our business.\u00a0 THUS<\/strong>\u00a0we had a lovely lunch at Tequila Jack’s,\u00a0where they\u00a0plainly saw our same state yet sat us without question.\u00a0 Aside from this experience I like The Yard House and its food, but today we liked Tequila Jack’s much better.\u00a0 The service was terrific.<\/p>\n
