I always thought Lingcod Fish<\/strong> was a kind of Cod, but it’s not Cod at all.\u00a0 The related links\u00a0will tell the rest of the story.\u00a0 I was also amazed to see that\u00a0frozen the Fish is green (above), uncooked it’s blue\u00a0(below), and\u00a0cooked it’s white.\u00a0 It was fun seeing the colors change.<\/p>\n

Although Lingcod can be blue, green\u00a0or white,\u00a0it always cooks up white.\u00a0\u00a0I received a few pieces from a couple local fishermen friends.\u00a0 I poached ’em in a wine-herb\u00a0combination that’s really not worth mentioning.\u00a0 And ultimately Lingcod won’t be one of my favorites — It’s okay, but I’d rather they catch something else next time.<\/p>\n
