Belmont Shore<\/a>, one of the best areas in Long Beach hosts\u00a0a lot of great restaurants.\u00a0\u00a0I spent many fun years living within walking distance from “The Shore” and\u00a0ate at every restaurant on Second Street.\u00a0 Too bad Nibbles of Tidbits<\/strong> didn’t exist then — It would’ve had\u00a0quite the material.\u00a0 Open Sesame<\/a> featured HERE wasn’t there during that time, but\u00a0it now occupies two spots, 5201\/5215.<\/p>\n

Open Sesame has a corner location\u00a0(a Cheese Steak Sandwich joint\u00a0during my days) and another restaurant a few doors down.\u00a0 If you plan on meeting someone there, be sure to specify which one.<\/p>\n

Before\u00a0visiting,\u00a0we heard nothing but good things about\u00a0the place.\u00a0\u00a0We started our meal\u00a0with artsy\u00a0Hummus<\/strong>,\u00a0Pita Bread<\/strong> and Fried Cauliflower<\/strong>,\u00a0which turned out to be my favorite menu<\/a>\u00a0item of the meal.\u00a0 We also had the Kafta Pita<\/strong> that’s\u00a0made with ground charbroiled Sirloin and Lamb, and the Chicken Shawarma Pita<\/strong>, made with marinated Chicken breast and thigh meat.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the Kafta Pita meat was\u00a0dry and tough, thus we’d opt for a substitute\u00a0next time.<\/p>\n

The service was good and they offer outdoor patio dining at both Second Street locations.\u00a0 Love that!\u00a0 Pictured directly above is the Green Hot Tea <\/strong>— And we also tried the Jalab<\/strong>, a combination of Rose Water and Grape Syrup infused with Incense and topped with Pinenuts.\u00a0\u00a0It’s different and refreshingly<\/em> crunchy.\u00a0 I’d get it again, especially since I know I’ll be back to visit Belmont Shore<\/a> (and the Heights), the best part of the LBC.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
