We were going to run this report on Examiner.com<\/a> for National\u00a0Liqueur Month (October), but didn’t have the necessary “Liqueur” to qualify for that category.\u00a0 And since it’s now\u00a0National Pomegranate Month <\/strong>(November) and I\u00a0received POM Wonderful’s New Pomegranate Nectarine<\/strong> and Pomegranate Kiwi<\/strong> the very same day we planned this drink comparison, we substituted it in place of the Liqueur.<\/p>\n

\"Pom<\/a><\/p>\n

We set out to make 6 different Pomegranate Drinks and rate them.\u00a0 The numbered rating cards are from one of my favorite boardgames, iMAgiNiff<\/a>.\u00a0 They come in handy for taste test comparison parties like this.\u00a0 We got all our recipes<\/a> from the PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur<\/a> site, but used POM Wonderful’s Juice<\/a> in place of the Liqueur.\u00a0 We’ll post about the PAMA Liqueur later this month.\u00a0 Overall, we found the recipes very adaptable and most tasted fantastic.<\/p>\n

For this taste test, we made a Margarita <\/strong>and\u00a0unblended Daiquiri<\/strong>, respectively posted above, and\u00a0Pomegranate Juice with Club Soda<\/strong>, a Blushing Lady<\/strong>, a Pomegranate Juice Lemon Drop<\/strong> and a Martini<\/strong>, respectively shown below.\u00a0 POM’s Juice substituted well for all — We particularly favored the Pomegranate Nectarine Juice, which is refreshing and flavorful on its own.<\/p>\n

And since Pomegranate Juice is so good for you, we felt we received a healthier buzz, if you will. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We garnished\u00a0the drinks with a variation of Lemon wedges and twists, Lime slices\u00a0and Pomegranate Seeds (fabulously in season), then determined our favorites.\u00a0 Our number one cards were awarded to the Margarita<\/strong> and Martini<\/strong>— Both tasted as if they were prepared by a\u00a0professional mixologist and thus made us very happy.<\/p>\n

We found the Pomegranate Juice and Club Soda<\/strong> a refreshing combination\u00a0for any day, since it was the only drink without alcohol.\u00a0 We’d probably pass on the Blushing Lady<\/strong> next time, but give the Pomegranate Lemon Drop <\/strong>an honorable mention.\u00a0 Overall, we think PAMA’s recipes<\/a>\u00a0are good and look forward to trying their Liqueur.\u00a0\u00a0And we always appreciate having POM Wonderful’s Juice — It’s the best 100% Pomegranate Juice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
