Mazzottis Italian Deli & Catering settled right into the former Dolcissimo Cupcake’s location.\u00a0 It looks nice inside.\u00a0 They utilized the space well by raising the counters and adding bar stools.\u00a0 They even added\u00a0three umbrellaed tables\u00a0outside, which is most often my preference.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Although Mazzottis is new to Costa Mesa, it was pre-established in Huntington Beach for about 30 something years,\u00a0near Olive and Walnut.\u00a0 There’s a picture of it on their new walls — I think I remember seeing it as a kid growing up while hanging out on HB Main Street.\u00a0 And\u00a0now\u00a0they just re-opened on 19th Street in Costa Mesa with new family members.<\/p>\n

I received a menu and 15% off coupon in the mail, and since it’s minutes away, of course I tried it.\u00a0 They were so nice and allowed me to order a smaller portion Salad than listed on the menu.\u00a0 I just wanted a\u00a0side Salad, instead of the larger House Garden Salad — It was really fresh and the House Italian Dressing is good.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

I also tried Mazzottis Spinach Canneloni, which had a generous amount of Spinach.\u00a0 I’m told that the Calzones are IT and referred to as “World Famous” — I haven’t truly enjoyed a\u00a0Calzone in my life, but may need to give\u00a0theirs a try.\u00a0 Maybe I’ll be converted?<\/p>\n

Garlic Bread came with the\u00a0Canneloni, which\u00a0was a nice bonus.\u00a0 And I\u00a0tried their Garlic Cheese Fries.\u00a0 I wanted\u00a0more garlic on them, but\u00a0maybe that’s just me.\u00a0 I’d go back and try some more stuff.\u00a0 I’ve read the Meatball Sandwiches are good.\u00a0 It’s great to have them in the neighborhood.<\/p>\n
